What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is hard. The busy-ness of life pulls us into it, occupying every moment of every day, unless we allow ourselves to make a different choice. That's one of the great things about being human though - in many ways, we have choice. We can choose to respond rather than react to the circumstances of our lives, to create a moment to just be, to notice, to breathe, to appreciate, to rest our busy tired minds. That is all and everything that mindfulness is. It is the key to living your life through a series of small choices, small moments, confidently dealing with the reality you prefer. Because all we really have is this moment, right now. Not one of us is guaranteed any kind of future. And the past has gone, never to be changed. We can influence the future of course, with each moment of now but we cannot control the future. This 31 day journal can help you create a small window of choice in your day. It is not about long to do lists or huge future goals with many eat-the-elephant steps. It is a simple practice that takes only moments each day.
